Dark Choco Cookie is one of the longest cookies that stays in the top-tier. He is one of the must have cookies that you need for your team party. The problem is, building his perfect topping is kinda hard because you have three best toppings at the same time.
If you look at another charge cookie in Cookie Run Kingdom, you will find that Dark Choco is one of a kind. Meaning that there’s almost no charge cookies can reach his level.
But why he is so special? It’s because of his debuff and his damage. If other cookies can only excel at one of those, Dark Choco Cookie can do both of them really well.
He’s just a complete package, and the good thing is, almost every player is already got him.
But like what I said before, he got three best toppings at the same moment, and some players may still be unsure about what’s the best topping for Dark Choco.
- 5x Swift Chocolate Topping (CD Reduction)
- 5x Searing Raspberry (ATK)
- 5x Solid Almond Topping (DMG Resist)
His skill effect is good, meaning that you need Swift Chocolate so you can reduce his CD.
But Dark Choco is also got really high damage for a charge cookie. So it gonna make sense if a lot of players will prefer Searing Raspberry to amplify it.
So the question is, which one is actually better?
Why Swift Chocolate is Better?
Dark Choco can reduce enemies’ DEF, meaning that can you can help your DPS to penetrate their defense.
And what you need to remember is your damage source is not coming from your DPS only, almost any cookies can give some damage. Applying this debuff is like giving total destruction to your enemies.
After Stun and Silence, DEF Reduction is arguably the best debuff in the Cookie Run Kingdom.
Reducing Dark Choco Cookie’s CD with this build is never been wrong.
Why Searing Raspberry is Better?
Use Searing Raspberry if you want more damage. This topping will give you a lot.
His damage scaling is high with more than 300%. Since he already has this stat, increasing it furthermore with this build will help you to clear any stage faster.
If you don’t, then you can try one more topping build that I want to show you.
Why Solid Almond is Better?
Since Dark Choco Cookie is a front cookie, building his toughness is also important, especially if you don’t have any reliable Tank to protect him or even all of your allies.
To answer that problem, Solid Almond is here. Cookie Run Kingdom decide to use this topping as one solution for any defensive problem.
Because of how good his skill is, you need his presence all the time. Letting him die will make your team suffer a big loss that’s probably gonna end up by losing the game.
I can sure that you don’t want this thing to happen to you, especially in PvP where enemies have many debuffs to ruin your party.
What Do I Choose?
This is the first time I write Cookie Run Kingdom build with 3 different options. Any of them is good depending on your situation and preference.
My answer to this question is Swift Chocolate Topping build.
This is the most neutral build for me. You can apply this topping build in every condition. It is good in both PvP and PvE.
Especially for PvP where you can maximize the first-round skill for all of your party members. Dark Choco’s DEF Reduction should be your first skill to be released, especially before your main damage dealer releases their skill.
How to Get?
If you still haven’t him yet, you may want to convert your Dark Choco Cookie soulstones. I’m pretty sure that you have already passed the requirement, or at least almost. You can also pull him in every banner.

"Long ago, this Cookie stepped into the world of Darkness to become a hero, but fate had a different plan: Dark Choco Cookie was unfortunate enough to happen upon the forbidden Strawberry Jam Sword. As soon as the would-be hero grasped the weapon, the dark power of the magic sword took over. From that moment on, Dark Choco Cookie's life changed forever. Now, dark clouds and thunderstorms follow this ill-fated Cookie, feared by all. It is said that Dark Choco Cookie is still fighting against the magic sword's control." - Dark Choco Cookie
