Zio and the Magic Scrolls is an AFK mobile gacha game. Even though your account will be progressing when you AFK, at least you know how this game works so your account will be moving on the right path. That’s why I’m creating this newbie guide.
Early game is a moment that makes almost every player get confused. Yes, they already make a flash tutorial about how the mechanics of Zio and the Magic Scrolls.
But still, did you know what is your main priority in the early game? Or how to progress ASAP to your target?
In this guide, I will tell you about some fundamental things in Zio and the Magic Scrolls, so you can’t do anything wrong with your account.
I will try my best so won’t get more confused by reading this guide.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Heroes Guide
Heroes are the characters that you play in order to defeat your enemies. Making them stronger, so they can clear any stages is your main goal.
But how to do that? First of all, you need to understand the hero’s mechanics in this game.
If other RPG games use elemental systems like: water is stronger than fire, but weak to wind. Zio and the Magic Scrolls doesn’t have that.
They prefer to use the raw power of the heroes as an individual. That’s why tier list in Zio and the Magic Scrolls is really important.
Once you use a stronger hero, winning the game is almost in your hand. There are some other mechanics, but we will talk about that later.
In this game, heroes divided into 5 things, which is: Rarities, Class, Cloth, Role, and Type. I will explain all of them one by one.
Just like its name, if you are familiar with Cookie Run Kingdom, they use common, rare, epic, etc to classify the rarities of their cookies.
While in this game, there are only three: B, A, and S. The smaller chance to get them, the stronger they become. A simple common sense that I don’t really like.
There is four class in Zio and the Magic Scrolls, which is: Immortal, God, Demon, and Human. Only three Immortal, and all of them has 1 more skill that other class can not achieve. Meaning, they are supposed to be stronger than the three others.
God, Demon, and Human are equivalent in terms of power, you just need to look at them as an individual.
This is a simple logic that’s already been forgotten by some games. If they use leather, why they can use the same cloth like characters that use plate armor?
That’s why they divide it into Leather and Plate Armor.
Now, comes the important part. When making all the characters, they put some balancing in order to put them into a specified role. Fortunately, they tell us about this explicitly so we don’t need to manually understand them by reading their skills.
Tanker is what you call if you need someone to protect your team. Support for those characters that help the other party members. Magician and Hunter is DPS, they are only separated by their type.
Physical and Magical are the only damage types in this game. I don’t think I need to explain this, since they don’t have a specific thing to do that makes them better or worse than others.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Upgrading Guide
You don’t make your hero stronger just by leveling up them. You need to do a specific thing in order to achieve that goal.
Like its name, you level up your heroes by using some Gold and Magic Crystal. You can get both of them by clearing Story mode.
In the early game, you don’t need to worry about getting stuck because your enemies are stronger than you.
Just like Level Up, but Reinforce apply to items. But you need other items to do this. I prefer to use D-class items as food. How to get these? You can collect it from Bono’s Bag.
This thing will give your heroes a big boost, but require a lot of resources. So make sure you do it correctly. I suggest you to do this only for a high tier hero. Basically, it will increase your heroes’ rarity. For example, Zio is an S-rarity hero, so you can promote him to S+.
You can get these materials by doing this:
- Extract: If you get duplicate heroes, they will convert into a Soul Stones that you can extract to Soul Essence based on their Class. But you need to have at least 10 Soul Stones.
- Convert: Convert any Soul Essence you have to other other Soul Essence with different class. I don’t recommend this since it have 2:1 ratio. Lets say, you want Human Essence, and you only have 10 Demon Essence, so when you choose to convert it, you will only get 5 Human Essence.
It will be very helpful for your early game process. Why? Because you don’t really need to be afraid of leveling your main heroes.
Like Zio for example, as your free S-rarity hero, you might be thinking, why should I upgrade him if in the end; when I got a lot of better heroes, I don’t use him anymore?
Teamwork act as an auto-leveling for all of your heroes. When you upgrade it to level 20, every hero including the new one will also get the same level.
Who Need to Upgrade First?
Focus on your strongest hero. It will be better if you have Tanker or DPS role. They are the most important component of your team.
And if you get Support as your high-tier heroes, you better treat them as your second prioritize. In the end, support is there to help other members. No matter if it’s an early game or even a late game.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Kingdom Guide
This is basically the main menu in this game. You will find the most important thing from it. There are four buildings that represent its functions.
You can join any Guild that you want. It will be better if you know who are the members.
In the early games, this menu doesn’t really important besides finishing a quest. Other than that, it is just a medium to say hello to another gamer.
This building is very important, especially in the late games where it can give all of your team members a big buff. It will give you some percentage of important stats like ATK, DEFF, and HP.
High level research can give you even a new ability. Just make sure you collect all the materials every day from the adventure dungeon.
The items they sell will be reset in a few hours. For early games, like when you want to complete a task, just buy the random C-grade item. It will help your character a little bit.
A place to acquire new scrolls and upgrade it. Lightning Lance even though is just the first spell that you get for free, is actually a good spell. You can upgrade it a few times.
But if your team doesn’t have any healers, upgrading Maga Hibencus can be a good idea.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Story Guide
This is where you spend most of your time in the early game. Just complete any story battle as long as you can.
You need a lot of Gold and Magic Crystal to upgrade your heroes, and this is the best way to do that. This game doesn’t have a stamina system. Just play it in auto mode, and your account will be progressing.
The AFK reward that you collect from Bono’s Bag will get better the farther you complete the story.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Adventure Guide
I don’t really need to explain this part because all you need to do is finish all of them every day.
Make sure you know what you need to prioritize because there’s a quota for each day. Focus on what you can upgrade in that day.
For the Arena, I still prefer not to join the game if my battle power doesn’t enough to challenge any of them. It will only end up with me as the loser, and ruin my win rate.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Summon Guide
The rate up character’s banner change only in a few days. So you have two options: wait until your favorite character comes and pull them, or pull in all heroes banner.
For me personally, I will pull in all characters banner if the event banner is not good enough. And if I get the bad one, I just need to reroll it since I’m still in the early game.
By using these redeem codes, rerolling will be much easier since it shortens my time.
Zio and the Magic Scrolls Tips and Trick for Early Game
- Focus on Story. Just like I said before, Story will give you a lot resource that you need to level up your heroes. But to balancing it, you need to do your adventure when you still have any quota. For the Arena, you don’t really need to do this since your enemy is likely will stronger than you.
- Balancing your team composition. My ideal composition is 2 Tanker, 2 DPS, and 1 Support. Having 2 Tanker is the most important part, but if you don’t have a good ones, you can switch it to another Support. Using 3 DPS? You can do this, but only if all of them is a high tier units.
- Watch Ads for Bono’s Bag. You will get maximum of 5 quotas each day. Watching all of them is a win-win solution for you and the games.
- Use Auto and 1,5x Speed. This will help you to clear the content faster and reach the point when AFK will still give you a lot of bonuses.
- Join Guild if you start to get bored. Playing with friend is usually better than alone. If you don’t have any real life friend who played this game, Guild is your solution. Maybe, even though the percentage is small, you can get a new ones. After all, there’s no point to get a better start if you get bored. Early game is about building mood too. Reading any guide will be no use if you already start feeling that way.
